MAG Scotland would also appreciate any help the weekend after that when representatives from the various FEMA organisations will be in Edinburgh for their annual conference. Meeting/greeting and transporting the reps, errr, anyone got a minibus?

Apologies for the poor showing of the website, please ignore most of the rest of it other than the Rally and this page (the only ones reasonably up-to-date). It needs some TLC, time and effort, most of which are in short supply just now. Plans are afoot for a general update, though don't expect anything too fancy...

We meet at The Meadow Bar, 42 Buccleuch St, Edinburgh EH8 9LP, on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month at about 8.30pm onwards. Except when we are out and about for the 2nd of the two monthly meetings, for which the venue will be listed below. We are fairly flexible about the meeting start time, although there is usually someone there roughly on time.

Currently the 2nd monthly meetings are being held as normal at The Meadow Bar. The search will go on for any other suitable venues, any suggestions welcomed.

We'll post any future meeting place developments here.

We are involved in campaigns on local issues (like secure bike parking and access to Green lanes) as well as campaigning on national and European issues. We are also here to have social nights/drinks and fun with like minded people.

Current issue is the Scottish Road Safety Strategy Consultation which our MAG Scotland rep has been heavily involved with. We could all do our bit with a letter to the relevant people. Details here.

Whats been happening recently:

The MAG (UK) stand was once again in attendance at the Scottish Motorcycle Show at Ingliston and managed to take in a few memberships, both new and renewals. Thanks to all who dropped by.

The MAG Scotland Easter Egg Run took place on Easter Sunday with another good turnout. Check out their website for updates.

The Moray Motor Cycle Test Centre Action Group and Aberdeenshire Motorcycle Action Group held their demonstration on the 12th April against the reduction in the number of test centres (from 64 to 12!). A good turnout, longish run and political office holders present!

Coming up in the next few weeks:

The 25th Middlesbrough & District MAG Number One Rally and North East Regional Demo will be held over the weekend of 9th to 11th May. Field, marquee, bands, beer etc. A few of us usually try to get along to this one.
